Medrol (Methylprednisolone)

Introduction

This is about the 4th or so time I've written a novel about my experiences the past week and a half, but taking the advice from others with this disease I decided it was a decent idea to create an actual blog about my new "life" if you can call it that. The blog name is a little cliché but I honestly didn't know what to put as you can imagine so "Living with MS" it shall be for the moment.

It all began last Monday, April 20th, 2009. I had a very mild headache going on, and it wouldn't have caught my attention at all except that it was solely located in the back right of my head. I thought that was odd, but didn't think anything much of it because as I said, it was really mild. Come Tuesday it was still there, but it wasn't worse. I noticed later that evening that my vision was just slightly off. Almost like I smudged up my glasses a little too much, and at that point thought that must be what it is. I hadn't gotten new glasses in over a year (something I meant to do relatively soon) so they're a bit scratched/marked up.

Alas comes Wednesday. I wake up, turn on my computer, make breakfast and continue about my normal morning routine. I'm an Shockwave "Daily Jigsaw" addict and it's something I have to play at least once a day just for a little brain exercise, which I normally do as one of my first activities in the morning. There's little ads all over the website, and I noticed a blue one that just seemed really off. My headache still existed, no worse than Monday, so I thought hmm, I wonder.... and closed my left eye. Uh oh! The top half of the ad was still blue but then it faded into just a blurry white. I didn't panic, but I knew it was probably something I needed to have checked out. The first thing I did was called my older sister who's a Physican's Assistant to get her input.
